Faheem "DJ Priority" Jackson was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. Music was the culture of his household while growing up during the 80s. His father, a DJ, always invited him into his home studio to listen and record albums for personal listening at a very young age. 

Starting in the mid 90s, he began to djay house parties and college parties. Around 2002, he then started djaying on college radio (The Last Hip Hop radio show) at William Paterson College with fellow dj, Max Jerome. The radio show became a significant median in the area with local artists throughout NJ. During this time, DJ Priority began moderating Max Jerome's website called (www.basically-hiphop.com).  

After being introduced to Newark's own Black 45, he began to meet numerous upcoming and established DJs, Producers, Graf Writers, Emcees, Beat Boxers and Breakdancers throughout the Tri-State area. Soon after, DJ Priority, Max Jerome and Black 45 began working together and organized the event (Meet The Producers Beat Battle Invitational) which eventually became the premier Beat Battle in NJ from 2003 to 2009. This also happened simultaneously as he started doing promotions and djaying on a college music tour across the country with Virgin Records.

In 2005, he started learning how to produce music for Hip Hop and R&B artists. He got his first big break by placing beats on Vast Aire's classic album "Dueces Wild" and Mighty Joseph's (Vast Aire & Karniege) "Empire State" albums in 2008 through Myspace.

"The Rep Grows Bigger" - Gangstarr

After his first music placements, DJ Priority was featured in the critically acclaimed "King Of The Beats 2" dvd in 2008. Created and distributed by Pritt Kalsi (UK), The dvd featured producers from all parts of the world in a challenge to produce the best instrumentals with limited money while being filmed throughout the entire creative process.

Later that same year, DJ Priority began working on a Beat CD series entitled "Beat Cinema". Through this series he began to work with a bunch of artists including DoItAll (L.O.T.U.G.), Venomous2000, Jukstapose, Tone Liv and a host of other dope artists. 

DJ Priority and Venomous2000 released an album together called "Fresh Amazingly" in 2011. This album can be found on Itunes, Amazon and other online media outlets. After the success of the album, the duo toured France and Belguim and was recieved well from their music and stage performance.

Currently, he has a 90s Hip Hop show with host "Big City Show" on KJAMZ 105.3FM in Tulsa, Oklahoma every Monday night at 9pm Central time. Also, he's putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album with Tone Liv called "Clockwork".
