MHM 17.0 - Maxa Burning Man Set

Friends, one of my favorite things is playing music in the desert at Burning Man for sunrise.  This year I was offered that opportunity to play on Axolotl Art Car early Monday morning.  Going from night to day is always something to witness.  I brought my camera to capture some moments only to realize no batteries were there 😢😢.  I would not be able to capture these glorious moments so I have the pictures in my mind.  The car moved after sunrise and we rode off to a place where I couldn’t visualize our city of Burning Man and to a place where there was a small house where people were dancing inside, outside and on top of the house.  You don’t forget moments like these.  What a vibe it was that morning!  This is the set played during that morning sunrise.  I hope you enjoy!  Thanks Gor for being there and capturing the moments. My big set riding the big OT sound system for '24 was Monday night, prime time before Marten Hørger. Playing out of our new booth re-design on it's maiden voyage was a night for big, funky, infectious bass face tracks with some other dips into acid tinged house and techno that I knew would would sound soooo good on that system in that setting. It was magic. 

I had so many tracks I wanted to play I made my way through like 25 tracks in 75 minutes.  Also entertained myself by dropping some tracks by some of our guests later in the week like Mau P & Max Styler. Thanks to some of my producer/DJ homies who stoked me on some unreleased music. Hope you enjoy this steady rockin' set.

At the tail end of a spiritually awakening morning and sleepless night, I threw down this set completely off the cuff, just letting my mood and the energy of the environment dictate what happens next—my favorite way to play. Listening to this takes me back to the height of the sun in the Black Rock Desert and reminds me of the magic present in each moment out there, however small.
