Andrea Mancini alias Cleveland, born in Luxembourg into an Italian family, is a music producer and DJ behind the releases on Hivern Discs,label, ESP Institute or kalahari oyster cuts. The sound universe of Cleveland, although being versatile, is clearly recognizable. Built around warm "Left-field" tones and organic rhythms.

COMPLEXA Mix Series: Volume 3 | Ollie Slaney

Volume 4 of the Complexa series is courtesy of Roya Brehl. Roya is well known over in Leeds for The Off Licence  parties which had great outings at Blueberry Hill Studios, Eiger studios and were lined up for a special set  with legend Bill  Brewster at 212. She has joined our own Upside Your Mind down in Yorks' Sotano basement numerous times and also runs the Imaginarium in Leeds plus the Hideous Things and Shso projects. 
This edition is a shifting and evolving ride into one of the Complexa's deeper energies, here we find ourselves holding on as Roya expertly guides us down to feel its embrace.

This week is really special to us as we have the privilege of sharing the airwaves with the show's first guest mix, coming from the British DJ duo and purveyors of fine music @trackwerk.

Trackwerk consists of Scott and Carl from the English city of Sheffield. They started DJing in the late 80s when house music exploded onto the UK scene and have been collecting and playing music ever since.

Next up, a producer, a DJ and a long time acquaintance (Estimuloshow chat anyone?) Mihail P  delivers a wonderful heady innerspace trip. Crossing genres with ease just like in his own productions, he displays a keen ear for melancholic melodies and bleepy spacey atmospherics. Simply brilliant.

// Can you introduce yourself briefly to our listeners?
Hey there. My name is Mihail Petrovski, and I release under the name of Mihail P. I mostly move around 2 genres: techno & house and only recently I have emerged into breaks & dnb. So far I have released on Distant Worlds (@distantworldtransmissions), Ferox, Verdant (@verdant-recordings), Seventh Sign (@7th-sign-recordings), Magnonic Signals (@user-762868445), Nebulae (@nebulaerecords), Propersound (@propersoundrecords) & Where We Met (@wherewemet) and I also self-released a bandcamp album recently called Soundtrack To A Better Place.

Guest mix #97 Mihail P for Deeprhythms

BAR Rotterdam residents and all-round executives Jetti & Post getting us right back to the club with this one-hour rave orientated mix series. These two can’t live without a decent diversity and solid nightlife culture around them. “Being in Rotterdam makes us a bit rough around the edges, which can be found in our selection. Being the bookers of Bar Rotterdam made us expand our taste in music. We have so many favourite artists!”

As of today, The main focus of the duo is at Bar Records. The record label that came out of the Rotterdam club already is set to release nr. 07 in their catalog. “In this mix series, we are playing 2 new tracks of the upcoming release which will be out around spring. It’s nice that we can release music from artists we love so much, but the thing we are looking forward to the most is to start up our Bar events again.” The crew is planning to collaborate with concepts like Isburning and Jetti & Post are taking the next steps in focussing on their DJ career. Next to make their way into The COMPLEXA is the extremely talented JR Hartley. James is an Ibiza based electronic music artist, broadcaster and record label owner. He cut his teeth in the north of England writing music and DJing for fun, then in the early 00s he and a friend decided to form a music act and have been releasing music and DJing around the world since.

As we commence this electronic interstellar journey across the zippy planes of the Milky Way, a landmark comes into view. We're getting faster now, fleeting towards her at the speed of light. Her gravitational pull brings us closer, spinning at breakneck speeds. Singularity. Darkness. Upon opening our eyes we're enraptured. This place is different. "We've entered The Complexa".

Now based in Ibiza James has created his JR Hartley solo alias to explore all facets of his musical tastes ands become more involved with the local music community. You can hear him with his regular show Time & Space on Openlab FM, on The JR Hartley Podcast available on Acast as well as live sets in some of Ibiza's smaller, more underground venues such as Malanga and Las Dalias, playing to his friends, the locals and the more curious visitors.        

In this mix for The Complexa JR has delved into lots of different styles, genres and bpms, the only boundaries being all the music has a distinctly electronic flavour.
