RAKET Jungle / Drum & Bass Artist • Wicked Jungle Records • Ion Drive Music 

Since the late ’90s, Raket has been a relentless force in Jungle and Drum & Bass. Grounded in early b-boy culture and hip-hop, and sharpened by punk’s DIY ethic, Raket’s originality shines through both behind the decks and in the studio. His sets balance classic Jungle with cutting edge Drum & Bass, always with a few curveballs to keep listeners on edge. 

In 2015, frustrated with the limitations of underground labels, Raket and longtime collaborator Gridlab founded Wicked Jungle Records, giving voice to artists pushing authentic Jungle and boundary-breaking Drum & Bass. By 2023, Raket re-launched his sub-label Ion Drive as a dedicated D&B imprint, freeing Wicked Jungle to sharpen its focus on classic Jungle, Drumfunk, Hardcore, and chopped-breakbeat experimentation. 

Now based in Maryland, Raket continues to expand the reach of both labels with a heavy schedule of releases and international collaborations. He also broadcasts his sound directly to global audiences with GRIND | RECOVER, a dual-concept livestream series: 
•	GRIND (2nd & 4th Thursdays) → high-intensity Jungle & Drum & Bass built to cut through the week’s pressure. 
•	RECOVER (3rd Sundays) → looser, exploratory sessions that recharge and reset with deeper, more experimental selections. 
Streamed worldwide on theundergroundlair.fr and Twitch, and archived on YouTube,  
GRIND | RECOVER keeps Raket connected to the global underground, bringing raw Jungle and D&B directly to the people.

This is the last one I'm going to do in this series. It's been fun. 10+ years ago when i started TFIJ 1 with Om Unit - Adventures In Eden it felt like jungle really was the future. There were loads of new ideas being painted with the jungle pallette and it sounded very fresh and exciting. Jungle now just sounds like jungle. Which is fine, and i still love it, but it doesn't feel very forward looking anymore.

So that's why this is the last one.

Zero-Gravity

Sonic Fiction Recordings 001 from the mighty @viceversadnb who are back at it and we are honoured to have them start the label with its first release.

The first track, “Can’t Let You Go”, features the warm, rnb infused and emotive vocals of Euna K. With hip hop style samples and filters layered on top of a big 808 style bass line with a touch of grit, the track feels right at home with the sound the brothers have always been known for.

“Oud,” the second track, is a deep, moody roller. It features a unique thematic sample from the Persian string instrument of the same name, which weaves through big, rolling jungle basslines, somber vocals, and atmospheric dub chords. A true head nodder.
