Skalka is a lost single from 1999 - out now to celebrate the bands 20 years anniversary. Produced by Stefan Brisland-Ferner from Garmarna. The cooperation with Stefan in the producerseat meant a new focus and new sounds for the band and the tracks could have been released by the band today.

Last years The Story Behind The Story (2008) became the bands most critically acclaimed record ever and also the most sold one since 1996 Everyone’s Invited. The album even made it as record of the year in Peru!

A Permanent Marker (2009) shows a band in strong and constant development and a group of people that still is hungry and very much alive.

This song was recorded during 2004. At the time The Confusions worked on an EP-thriolgy and had begun working on what would become the "5 am" album.
Sometimes Time Stand Still got lost somewhere along the line and have not been released until now 2011 as a part of The Confusions 20 year anniversary.

The song contains a beautiful hook on melodica and an outro with e-bows and mellotron choirs.  Lyrics below:

The Confusions have done it all, been signed to indie labels and majors, been hailed by the British music press and at the same time 
rejected by the local papers, toured around the world, had a weird American manager, had a sales flop and then at their next release a MTV Hit. The international press describes The Confusions as "indie veterans" and are now a powerful live machine consisting of six good friends with a genuine love for the music they create. 
The Confusions are great fun, but thoughtful at the same time. Not confusing at all, when you think about it.
