German duo, Manqo are swiftly establishing their presence across the international circuit. Their first release, Won’t Change, was a collaboration with Keinemusik mainstay Rampa and it went on to accumulate over three-hundred-thousand streams on Spotify. They caught the attention of Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus soon after, with Breaking Hearts acting as the first of two EPs to be released on the label in the near future, including a fab remix from South Africa's Black Coffee. 

Manqo spoke on how the track came together, stating: “Breaking Hearts was produced in our studio at Funkhaus Berlin. It was a warm summer day and when we finished it at sunset, we realised it was truly special. We’re very happy it found a home on Crosstown Rebels.”

Dino Lenny returns to Crosstown Rebels with his latest single ‘I’ve Learned That’, accompanied by remixes  from Shadow Child and Jonathan Kaspar - plus his own take with Fed Conti. 

A regular on labels including Afterlife, Ellum, Innervisions, and Diynamic, London-based Italian-born DJ/producer  and Fine Human Records boss Dino Lenny’s solo and collaborative catalogue continues to grow as he features as  one of the most consistent names within the worlds of house and techno. Having released his first EP on the label  in 2019, he now returns to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels for a second outing with the release of his  touching new single ‘I’ve Learned That’ - which is one of a collection of records dedicated to his daughter - with  remixes from Shadow Child, Jonathan Kaspar, and his own interpretation alongside Fed Conti. 

“My daughter Victoria is seven years old. Since she was born, I always felt I had to make sure she knew  about me straight away. You never know how much time you have. At first, I was going to write a diary  with all my thoughts and stuff like that. But if she’s a little bit like me, she’d probably pick up the book a  few times and leave it there. So I decided to transform my thoughts for her into songs. ‘I’ve Learned That’  is one of those.” - Dino Lenny. 

Shaped by emotive piano keys, blooming strings and refined drums, ‘I’ve Learned’ showcases a rich and  heartwarming production taking cues from dance music and beyond as the track’s uplifting and inspiring vocals  carry the production across nine minutes of delight. 

Beginning the transition towards more traditional electronic spheres, his remix alongside Fed Conti utilises vibrant  guitar licks and a luminous bassline to head into a late-night discovery of disco influences. Next, Shadow Child’s  ‘Classic Mix’ is a skippy house gem as bumping low-ends work amongst hazy chords, with Jonathan Kaspar’s  remix moving deeper via surging synths for a hypnotic and thrilling ride to close.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Chaim is a true stand out artist in today's fast paced electronic music world. Known not only for his works for Bpitch control and his collabos with Guy Gerber. His unique and organic sound was always amongst the crews favourites. Needless to say we are so looking forward to finally release this huge EP we have been playing since last summer constantly for the magic moments. “Safe Word” has been a much sought after tune in our mixes and shows already. It underpins his special hand for shaping this unique mix of classic Chicago house infused sound topped by hypnotic, dubby synth scapes. Who ever has heard him play and was grabbed by the unique magic in his sets will absolutely love this one.

The second original “Sun Tease” is definately the trippy one. Some serious dub in here but still with the right vibe for the house music floor melting to one trip of a tune. The originals are coming with some tasteful reworks. “Safe Word” remixed by the installation artist and musician Deniz Kurtel who came to fame by her outstanding tune “The L Word ft. Jada“ on Crosstown Rebels. She’s absolutely picking up the trippiness of the whole release with her work. As well as JEUDI’s own Bambook partnering up with Miami’s Quina delivering a beauty in perfection mirroring their outstanding production skills and taste . Last contribution is coming from JEUDI label honcho Doctor Dru who picked “Sun Tease” and edited a cut only adding a little of his Dru flavour which just teases the peak time.

'For our 37th Chapter, we warmly welcome Italian artist Andy Bros to the label with the 'Cuore' EP.

The package sees the Diynamic regular present his fresh and innovative sound on an EP that bridges the tech and deep dance realms with the worlds of jazz, funk and soul.

Title track 'Cuore' is a showstopper. Full of drive, tenderness and ultimately optimism, the piece tells a very personal story for the artist and affirms the power of keeping an open heart. 

Next, 'Rocky' offers something darker and deeper - an ode to a hero from the artist's youth. Huge, dramatic synth riffs are the order of the day, full of panache and flair.

Meanwhile, closer 'Sunny Day' is another stellar number, richly laden with choppy piano riffs on a bouncy tech groove. Once more, there remains a sense of positivity that all will be well in the end.

With three powerful original cuts, Andy Bros proves again that he is an eclectic and rounded artist with a tale to tell. Not afraid of experimenting and pushing things forward, he is a perfect fit for Chapter 24.'
