With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and BPitch Control, it's safe to say Venezuelan-originating, Barcelona-based duo Fur Coat are backed by some real key players.

Last year's 'There's No Time' EP on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' HC was a proper smash, with the title track a certainty to mess with your mind. That followed the 'U Turn' EP on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown, a tasty four-tracker of sizzling grooves.

Soon they make their debut for Balance, mixing the 'Balance presents Fur Coat' compilation featuring cuts by DJ Koze, Francesca Lombardo, Roman Flügel and a couple from themselves.

Surfacing to release Steyoyoke Recordings next EP for 2015 is Tel Aviv based artist Ran Salman. Ran brings together an all original three track EP titled ’Anamnesis’, which culminates for his dedication and recent hard work in the studio.

The title track ‘Anamnesis’ depicts a whirlwind progression of energy and power, infiltrated with subtle accents and rich bass lines. There is a hidden darkness that resides within this track, but its presence is fleeting and can only be captured with a finely tuned awareness.

‘Lost Into You’ kicks off with the full brunt of some chunky techno beats, which quickly give way to an explosion of passionate melodies and esoteric sythns. All three of these elements cement the tracks bold vibe and reflects an unmistakable intrepidness that will capture your attention with ease.  

The third and final track ‘Tales’ was inspired to reflect past club experiences and fond dance floor moments. Ran sequences warm big room sounds with a break down that is both uplifting and captivating. ‘Tales’ stimulates the soul with its enchanting soundscapes and smooth grooves.

Ritter Butzke Club, based in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, celebrates their 8th anniversary. What once started as an illegal rave, is now established on the regular club scene. After all these years, it still maintains the charm of an ‘unfinished’ living room. “8 Years Lost” is a sound document created by resident DJs and friends to represent the vibe of the place and to share it with their listeners.


The release comes with 14 tracks by celebrities like: Nicone`, Koletzki & Schwind, Klangkuenstler or Tigerskin, well mixed with tracks from the residents like: Baal, DJ Aroma or Prismode & Solvane plus some nice goodies from close friends who are also regulars in the venue such as: HRRSN, Kotlett & Zadak or Dapayk Solo. Birds of feather flock together: Both members of Kollektiv Ost originally come from the land of the thousand lakes, the North-Eastern German state of Mecklenburg. Creating partys since 2003 and already introduced to the Ritter Butzke Studio family they now deliver their first solo EP on our label.
The main track Actitube comes with a pushing synth stab line, leads in a lush break that peaks in a drop with a huge complementing bass melody. The Great Beyond catches with a straight four to the floor kick- and snare-groove combined with spherical atmospheres and drone pads. Unreal is a experimental journey with a big beat groove and wicked soundscapes, arps and vocal stabs.
