The Crawling Kings are a hard rock/alternative rock band from New York. The band started when lead singer and guitarist Ari Massias decided to put up some flyers in the hallways of his high school for auditions. In February 2014, the band had accumulated a number of songs they had written over the years. Most of which had been written by frontman Ari Massias before the band had formed. They would go on to rehearse these songs every week in their school's music room at lunch break. After running into various issues dealing with not having anywhere to record their debut record they decided to record the drums in their school music room and record the rest of the album in Brooklyn, NY. The recording process had begun later that month. Massias had taken microphones from his studio and brought them into school so that they could track drums during breaks or days off. They had finished drum tracking within 3 days. Guitars, vocals, and bass were then tracked at Zeev Recordings in Brooklyn NY, where Massias resides. Although previous bassist Emmett Elsas had written a number of bass parts on the album (Dreams, Green Glass, Engraved In Stone and Where Did You Go), current bassist Daniel Sternbach performs them on the record. On July 2nd the band released their first single and video "Wasting Away" on youtube, revealing the title and artwork of their debut album as well. They are currently in the studio working on a new EP as of July 2015.
