I have been reading The Critical Journey for a couple years, meaning I got stuck at the wall and couldn't get through that section.  Over the past year and a half, I have been in Al-Anon working the program, the 12 Steps, the 12 Traditions, and the 12 Concepts.  Today I "finished" (knowing forever maintenance" of the last of the 36 new spiritual principles.  I remembered "the Wall" and came to your sharing.  I think the time has come for me to "Release the Wall"!  Thank you so very much!  .....onward :)

"The Wall" is a deeply holy place on the faith journey. It is always individual, mysterious, God-shaped, infused with Spirit-- inviting us to transformation. The Wall is one of the most difficult parts of the faith journey and it asks more surrender of us than we may think we are capable of. It is equally alluring and treacherous. Yet the Wall is ultimately a place of healing, of ourselves and our image of God.
