Back on Toolroom it’s Leftwing : Kody who are poised to shake things up with their sun- soaked, tropical groover ‘Mallet’. A duo who need no introduction, Leftwing : Kody are one of the key members of the #ToolroomFamily, who are responsible for some of the labels biggest records. From last year’s Piano House anthem ‘If You Wanna’ to their 2019 mega hit ‘I Feel It’, when it comes to writing BIG club tunes, Leftwing : Kody certainly know their stuff.

For their next release on Toolroom, Leftwing : Kody go back to their clubbier roots on ‘Mallet’, opting for a more grimier underground sounding record as opposed to the vocal led, Piano driven House music that Leftwing : Kody have become synonymous with over the past few years. ‘Mallet’ itself is a record that is all about the rhythm, boasting an Afro esque, tribal groove with a brash percussive mallet hits and a ground shakingly deep bass line that will fire up the dance floor in no time. Interspersed vocal cuts echo throughout the record, culminating in one of Leftwing : Kody’s finest releases to date. ‘Mallet’ is a refreshing return to form for the London based duo, and one which defines Toolroom’s sound for 2022 perfectly.

Hot Creations are launching a new ‘Paradise on Earth’ DJ Mix series with the first instalment coming as a Mexico special from Paradise residents and label regulars Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Each mix is expertly crafted, fusing musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favourites for your listening pleasure.

The first CD comes from Toronto-based DJ & producer Nathan Barato, an artist that has been on the rapid rise with releases on Cajual, MOOD, Relief, Saved, Circus Records, Defected and of course Hot Creations. Barato’s mix kickstarts with the sonorous opening of Derrick Carter’s ‘Where You at?’ soon venturing into big dancefloor movers like Moritz Piske ‘Dirt Cabana’ and Makam’s ‘Loletta’. Nathan explains, "This is the first compilation I've done, so I was nervous and excited when building the tracklist. I wasn't inclined to make a mix that was only bombs ...I wanted to express myself and show a different side of my sound.”

UK talent Patrick Topping has cemented his status as one of the most in demand names in dance music and this year completing his third summer as resident at DC10 in Ibiza for Paradise. Here Patrick showcases the sound and style of his sets with hi-energy from the word go. “This was my first time putting together a licensed mix and it was such a fun project. Most the tracks are older but I was also luckily enough to include some of my favourite unreleased tracks of the moment. Thanks to Oli Furness, Jack N Jerk, Sean Miller & Elliot Adamson for letting me use these. There are also 3 brand new productions of mine in here.” - Patrick Topping

Since label head and visionary Jamie Jones began his Paradise night at DC10 in Ibiza five years ago, the night has gone on to be by far one of the biggest on the island, inviting the biggest names in the business to come play alongside his solid crew of talented friends and residents. THE CUBE GUYS Biography:

THE CUBE GUYS is a club undertaking that was born in 2005 between two of the most prominent producers in Italy: Roberto Intrallazzi and Luca Provera. Although their backgrounds and professional training differs, their common desire to release new productions and contribute to the international club scene is equivalent. Together, they combine their previous experiences and endeavors to launch a fresh and innovative musical journey!

Roberto Intrallazzi began his musical career in the latter part of the 80’s and beginning of the 90’s as part of one of the most successful projects of the ‘made in Italy’ dance era, F.P.I. Project. Their track ‘Rich in Paradise’ received worldwide acclaim and was one of the first house music releases to come out of Italy. Over the 90’s decade, his sound evolved into more like ‘house’ of today with influences from electro of the 80’s. The combination of the strong energy and search for new rhythms typical of the 80’s along with the contemporary minimal-electronic sound further assisted with the development of Roberto’s style.

In 2000, Roberto Intrallazzi met the DJ and producer, Luca Provera who matched Roberto’s knowledge of music and technology. Luca got involved with music at a very young age by building his own recording studio and becoming familiar with the technicalities of making music. Luca utilized computers, mixers, samplers, and keyboards to launch his career as a producer and sound designer; employing both digital and analog equipment. 

Luca later went on to produce a private Italian radio show and together with the artist Intrallazzi produced the album ‘The Pleasure is All Mine’ by Kym Mazelle. His radio and recording studio know-how led him to quickly gain familiarity with both the software and hardware necessary to produce quality house music. He isn’t just a quality producer however he is also a well-known DJ who plays frequently in alternative venues in Italy and all over the world.
