Next up we welcome Kotelett, one half of Kotelett & Zadak, the idiosyncratic house duo who have clocked up releases on respected imprints including Katermukke, Selador and Natura Viva. 

Kotelett & Zadak have been spreading their cheeky take on House for some while now, maintaining their outlandish fishing-related back-story over the standard/boring DJ duo biography. Although keen to bring a sense of fun to electronic music, their music is anything but flippant.

Kotelett recently returned to Poker Flat Recordings with his solo single 'I Don’t Know' earlier this year, with a spectacular remix from Swiss producer Dario D’Attis out this Friday. The rework adds a new flavour to the deep, rolling nature of the original, adding a more jacking vibe and pushing the vocal more to the fore.

We caught up with mystical (alleged) ex-fisherman Kotelett earlier this week to chat all things new release, Berlin and dance floor vibes.

The Jay Tripwire Tribute Project was an idea from a dear friend of mine. This all Vinyl mix is the first in a series dedicated to an extremely talented musician, and his long career of making great music. Many of his releases are ahead of their time. Every track in this series is a Jay original or remix. Releases under his aliases Mr. Barcode and Tyrone Latrelle, his 8-channels releases, as well as tracks on his own Tonality label will be featured on the project.

The pair went live back to back at their recent It's Our party at Climax in Stuttgart, Germany. The boys have shared an exclusive snippet from the set with us and it doesn't disappoint. Prepare yourself for a trip to tech house heaven!

The mix comes ahead of Okpara's highly anticipated appearance on Underground Audio (https://soundcloud.com/theunderground), where he's deliver a smashing remix of Yacine Dessouki's 'Unidos', due out June 24th. Also featuring on the remixes are Crosstown Rebels artist SIS and Manchester producer Rudosa.

Ray Okpara b2b Sascha Dive - When We Dip 064

This was the Sunday closing set at The Kazbah for the 2016 burn.  The end to one of Kazbah's best parties that has happened 3 years now with Lee Foss and Friends on burn night into Sunday day.  Towards the end of Lee's set Jamie Jones jumped on to tag with him.  After a few hours wAFF (Hot Creations) jumped on to tag with both Lee & Jamie.  After a few more hours Lee got off and Papa Lu jumped on to tag with Jamie & wAFF.  A few more hours went by and Jamie got off while wAFF & Papa Lu continued to tag and keep the party going.  Their tag set went so well that they ended playing for a little over 6 hours.  In the thick of vibe, Ali Love catered to the party with his emcee/ impromptu vocals over the beats that wAFF & Lu laid down.
