When he first came down with it, we thought it was the flu
Then they hooked Dad up to a ventilator in the ICU
We weren’t allowed to visit, but we could wave to him through the glass
And he wrote this note to his Grandson just before he passed...and it read

I read the note to my son, and I took comfort in what Dad wrote
And a feeling of peace came over me when I read the rest of his note...it said
