Shadows On The Sand

Gone now
Thoughts just move like distant shores
Dark Shadows move past open doors
Love lost but once lingers
Through…..
A gentle embrace
And there’s little more 
I can do

Birds that swing high
Drift slowly by
Where you once stood
Are gone now;
Are gone now
And so are you

The Soul, the soul
I cry out for the soul
Done….	 are those doubts
Of fire and anguish
Of a cold, cold trance
Of footsteps covered by snow
Leaves no trace
Leaves no trace
Leaves no trace
Of a whisper
I once knew

I glide like those birds
High above on wind
Past;
Those distant hills
Silently….
For all to see
Knowing from the beginning
What the result would be.
