VELVET BASSMENT RADIOSHOW WITH HURRICANE MEESH VOL.34

A recording of my first twitch stream post-Defected Croatia 2022 (third stream overall!). The inspiration for this 2.5hr mix is the festival itself, specifically the Sondela boat party and their Beach Stage takeover the following day. Both events were highlights of the fest for me and are forever etched in the memory banks. If you ever find yourself at a future Defected festival, please do yourself a favour and take in any Sondela offerings on offer. Can't say enough good things about the music and the people involved. This is also my first attempt at mixing afro house, house and disco back & forth in a set and, while nowhere near perfect, I'm happy with this mashup of genres as a musical direction and am already learning/hearing how to improve things going forward. Definitely a sound I'll be exploring further in future streams/mixes.

He is an emerging talent from Barcelona who is mixing the different sources of inspiration he has drawn from since his childhood. The producer and label co-founder mix organic textures with deep basslines and funky grooves.
