Anchors, CA was a Los Angeles based rock band formed in January, 2011. The group consisted of Nick Light (Guitar, Vocals), Mike Griffen (Guitar), Todd Parker (Bass) and Dave Chimo (Drums). The members, hailing from Athens, GA, Denison, TX, Philadelphia, PA & Buffalo, NY, respectively, met through mutual friends, and related music projects. The group officially began when co-workers (Griffen and Light) collaborated on a new song, and invited friends (Chimo and Parker) into the mix to fill in the blanks, and continue writing. Until their sudden and unexpected break up in May of 2012, The band consistently worked to develop it's own unique sound, with each member bringing their own talents, backgrounds, and creative inputs to their song writing process.

"I moved to Los Angeles in 1996, and have been fortunate enough to play music with some really amazing people.... The tracks on this page are a sampling of projects that I've worked on over the years, but aren't in chronological order.... Angels in the Architecture, Solea, Anchors, CA.... The One AM Radio (Live Shows Only).... I added a couple other recordings that I'm very proud of, but the songs never really saw the light of day.... Thanks for listening...."
