BOOTLEG THURSDAY is back....

Daverage J Normal and Riigs have been collaborating on a whole heap of music. The music has unfurled in a myriad of different ways and directions with the focus being the joy of collaborating, creating and now performing these tunes. We can’t just sit on them though and have decided to release one a week for as long as we want to. Listen, hopefully dance a bit and even repost if you feel like it.

Dark Horizons presents an ominous theme which suggests redemption, but snaps you straight back to the truth... brooding and intentional, a touch suited for dinner plate eyes, at the descent of a long night, perhaps. hit play, turn it up to 11.

This one is called 'Dread Gap' or 'Schreckenslücke' in German. The term refers to the discrepancy between how much people feel afraid of a risk versus how statistically dangerous it actually is. This term is often used in the context of behavioral economics. My second ever track produced using the Elektron Syntakt- Albeit sparingly. MPC triggers SH01, SE02, Microfreak, Prophet Rev2, Hydrasynth, Peak, Minilogue, Microkorg and TR8S. Oh and the Microcosm is in there doing a bit of weirdness too. Have a lovely weekend

● Aztronouth (also known as Oortfunk) is an electronic music artist and DJ from the Netherlands, active for more than 20 years. He is the founder of Mechanism, a long-running Amsterdam event series dedicated to Detroit techno and electro.

As Aztronouth, he produces futuristic electro and techno, while under his alias Oortfunk he explores downtempo synth-funk and experimental sounds. His music reflects strong influences from hip-hop, disco, Detroit techno, and hi-tek soul, blending them into a distinctive style.

He is part of Waveform Syndicate [LIVE] (with Luus and Machinefunk) and has released music on respected labels such as CyberDomain, Boomstraat1818, Connectome Records, Abstract Rhythm, and Space Is The Place. Notable releases include the Aztroverse EP (CyberDomain, 2025) and Durgan’s Odyssey (Boomstraat1818).
