This is a song release that we did in the late spring of 2021. It starts of with a roadhouse bluesy original of ours called Well Runs Dry. The song is a sarcastic tune about the joys of drinking yourself into oblivion.

The "B side" is a cover of a Blind Faith song called Can't Find My Way Home.

Out For A Drive is the first effort by Chico local Band The Deaf Pilots. It is a mix of rock, reggae, and party music with a "throwback" kind of vibe, and yes that means wicked guitar solos! Ryan Fairley, Derek Julian, and Calvin van Burg really bring the heat with this raw rock'n'roll EP. Check out "California Woman," the crowd favorite, "Feeling Green," and "No Name" is definitely the hidden jam on the album. Enjoy!

How to classify The Deaf Pilots? High Energy Rock N' Roll! Vocalist / guitarist Derek Julian, drummer Andrew Orozco and bass player Chase Crawford make up this dynamic group who are guaranteed to get you out of your chair!  With influences from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Foo Fighters, and Wolfmother, the group mixes both classic rock vocals and guitar solos with the intensity of modern riff rock to create something that is all their own. 

Since 2009, the band has released two full length albums as well as two EPs. The trio relocated from Chico to Los Angeles in 2014 and have been rocking the scene, ever since. You'll find them playing The Viper Room and The Troubadour back to back only to be heading up the Pacific Northwest Coast to play in Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento and many more.
