This took forever to do... Built the entire middle 8 section, repaired the resulting damaged drum track, restored the lost high end, and ran the whole thing through some light stereo filters...

I ended up getting my hands on a new orchestral VST.  One of my first tests was this, the theme from Series 7 of Doctor Who.  On top of an overhaul of essentially every orchestral element, I made a few slight modifications to the bassline and melody.  Overall, I'm happy with the result.

Doctor Who: Series 7 Theme (Remix)[Ver. 2]

I've always had a soft spot for this theme, despite the hate it's received over the years. (I've once heard the melody synth called "a whistling fart," haha!) 

Personally, I like the daring choices Keff McCulloch makes in arranging the piece, such as completely changing the bassline and adding the Middle-8 to the intro. However, the actual instruments he uses (all pre-sets on the Prophet V, by the way) are pretty weak. (Besides the bassline, which is awesome.)

Doctor Who - Series 11 Closing Theme

This is a recreation of the most recent arrangement of the Doctor Who Theme, created by series composer Segun Akinola.

I've tried to mix the Opening Credits, Closing Credits, and Extended Credits variations together to form one "full" mix. Also, I've included a version of the original eight-bar bassline intro, inspired by a fan-edit created by YouTuber Aaron S. I've played around with the levels for the bassline and drums from Akinola's original, so that the main melodies are more bass-heavy, while the middle-eight is more drum-heavy like the TV version.

I'm a composer/voice actor/whatever the crap people use me for these days.  For music composure, I use Acoustica Mixcraft and little of anything else.  In other words, all the music I make is created using synthetic instruments, most recently moving into the EWQL libraries.
