THE DIRT AND THE GRIME is a Los Angeles based duo comprised of Julio Tavarez II (As Tall As Lions, extremely bad man) and Mike Robinson (Empires, morgxn).

During a recording session in 2012 the two had a 3-hour break between sessions and wanted to see how many songs they could write and record in that span. A collection of 5 improvised, stream of conscious songs came about.

Six years later Mike and Julio crossed paths again in a small 10x10 room and wrote another 5 songs with the same quick trigger mindset. Based off iPhone voice memos, the duo recorded their debut machine age, lucid EP, GANGURO GIRLS. THE DIRT AND THE GRIME’s GANGURO GIRLS-EP is set to release in the summer of 2018.
