Für eine Nacht begeben sich die Disco Boys mit ihren eingemotteten Plattenkoffern zurück in die Zeit ihrer Anfänge. Die Zeit als sie Mitte der 90er House mit Disco Grooves vermischten bis zu den Vorläufern der sogenannten Electronic Dance Music. Die Musik wird wieder Seele haben, Erinnerungen wach rufen und eine unverwechselbare Partynacht versprechen. Wer die Disco Boys schon damals erlebt hat, weiß wovon die Rede ist. The Disco Boys

Gordon und Raphael waren 1995 mit die ersten DJs in Deutschland, die konsequent original Disco Vinyl mit aktueller House Music gemixt haben und dies auch als eine Art Protest gegen das damalige Techno-Einerlei gesehen haben.

Mittlerweile sind sie aus der europäischen Clublandschaft nicht mehr wegzudenken. Egal, wo sie auflegen, die Läden platzen aus allen Nähten.

2004 hatten die beiden allsonntäglich eine eigene Partyreihe im El Divino auf Ibiza. Neben vielen Auslandsbookings schließt sich auch eine kleine Clubtour durch China an. In Deutschland sind The Disco Boys Stammgäste auf den bekanntesten Großevents wie Mayday, Loveparade, Nature One, Sensation White, Time Warp uvm.

2005 werden sie bei den "Dance Music Awards" vom Publikum zum "Best House Artist" und 2006 bei den DJM Awards zum "Best House Act"gewählt.

Ein kleines Phänomen ist ihr Erfolg als bis dahin reine DJs ohne bis zum Jahr 2001 ernsthafte Versuche unternommen zu haben, eigene Singles zu produzieren. Das lag in erster Linie daran, dass sie sich als Vollblut-DJs verstanden und sämtliche Energie in diese Leidenschaft steckten. Das änderte sich aber spätestens mit der Idee zur eigenen Compilation die einfach nur ihren Namen trägt.

Nach der aktuellen "The Disco Boys - Volume 11" dieser Compilation-Serie wird klar, dass die beiden DJs es geschafft haben eine Marke in der Musikwelt zu etablieren. Die Doppel-CD findet sich immer in den Top 3 der offiziellen Media Control Compilation Charts wieder und ist damit seit Jahren die erfolgreichste House-CD in Deutschland.

Auch gibt es seit vielen Jahren eine richtige Fankultur um die beiden, die sich durch weitreisende Anhänger, stundenlanges Anstehen vor den Clubs, unzählige T-Shirts mit dem Markenlogo, und z.B. regelmäßige eBay-Gebote für die nicht mehr erhältliche "Volume 1" oder "Volume 2" von über EUR 200,- auszeichnet.

Im Laufe der Zeit haben The Disco Boys dann aber doch diverse Singles und Remixe produziert. Für die Bee Gees gibt es einen "The Disco Boys Remix" von "If I Can't Have You". Er wird persönlich von den Gibb Brüdern abgenommen und erscheint als eine limited edition Vinyl, als Single-CD und weltweit auf der "Best Of Bee Gees" Compilation.

2007 sind The Disco Boys zeitgleich mit 3 Singles in den deutschen Media Control Top 100 Single Charts vertreten ("For You", "Here On My Own" und "What You Want").

Ihre weltweite Hit-Single "For You" aus dem Jahr 2005 war 6 Wochen lang Platz 1 der offiziellen Dance Charts (ODC40), und ist seit mehr als 5 Jahren fast ununterbrochen in den Media Control Top 100 Single Charts vertreten. 2007 wird "For You" mit Gold und 2010 mit Platin ausgezeichnet. Beim deutschen "American Idol"-Finale ("Deutschland sucht den Superstar") interpretieren die beiden Finalisten "For You".

In 1995, Gordon and Raphael were the first DJs in Germany to consistently mix original disco vinyl with the latest house music and use this as a form of protest against the techno monotony existing at that time.

Now, it is impossible to imagine the European club scene without them. No matter where they play, it’s always a full house.

In 2004, they had their own series of parties at the El Divino club in Ibiza every Sunday. Along with their many international bookings, they are also planning a small club tour through China. In Germany, The Disco Boys are regular guests at the biggest events, such as Mayday, Loveparade, Nature One, Sensation White, Time Warp and many more.

In 2005, the public voted them as the “Best House Artist” at the Dance Music Awards and in 2006 they were named the “Best House Act” at the DJM Awards.

The success they have achieved merely as DJs, without making serious attempts to produce their own singles until 2001, is a mini phenomenon. This was primarily due to the fact that they considered themselves full-blooded DJs and put all their energy into this passion. However, this changed when they came up with the idea of making their own compilation which simply bore their name. 

According to the latest “The Disco Boys – Volume 11” of this compilation series, it becomes apparent that the two DJs have managed to establish a brand in the music world. The double CD is consistently among the top 3 on the official Media Control Compilation Charts, making it Germany’s most successful house CD in years.

There has also been a real fan culture surrounding them for many years – people travel far and wide to see them, wait for hours outside the clubs, wear countless T-shirts bearing their logo and, for example, regularly place eBay bids of over EUR 200 for “Volume 1” or “Volume 2” which are no longer available in stores.

Over time, The Disco Boys have also produced many different singles and remixes. There is a “The Disco Boys Remix” of the Bee Gees’ song “If I Can’t Have You”. It has been personally approved by the Gibb brothers and is sold as a limited edition vinyl, a single CD, and worldwide on the “Best of Bee Gees” compilation.

In 2007, The Disco Boys simultaneously had 3 singles on the German Media Control Top 11 Single Charts (“For You”, “Here On My Own” and “What You Want”).

Their worldwide hit single “For You” from 2005 was #1 on the official Dance Charts (ODC40) for 6 weeks, and has remained on the Media Control Top 100 Single Charts almost consistently for more than 5 years. “For You” went gold in 2007 and platinum in 2010 and covers of it were sung by both finalists in Germany’s “American Idol” finale (“Deutschland sucht den Superstar”).
