Supporting our #musicvsmentalhealth mantra this weekend is DJ Mantra Boom...

A Geordie based in the slightly warmer climate of Sri Lanka, Mango Boom is a huge fan of Disco, Soulful House and Funky House, playing a smattering of anything in-between that gets the dancefloor moving. Having spent many years making mixtapes and sorting the playlists for friends parties, she started experimenting with Mixing 4 years ago and never looked back. In the early days she spent many a gig playing alongside mentor Kevin Fernando, who learned his craft from the legendary Paul "Trouble" Anderson, and this was a big inspiration to hone her skills and aim to keep practicing and improving.
She's a big spinner of soulful house, playing the vocal classic from MAW, Leroy Burgess, Frankie Knuckles and John Morales, as well as fresh releases and disco through the decades, from the OG 12 inches to Nu-Disco cuts and edits. She has warmed up the wheels for Victor Simonelli , Offiah and Nahn Solo to name a few, and is inspired by DJs who stay true to disco and disco inspired house such as Kirrolus, Never Dull, Moodena, Louis Vega & Jayda G.

His releases have made a significant impact on @traxsource , earning DJ support from industry legends like Dave Lee JN , DJ Meme, John Morales, Dr Packer, and Purple Disco Machine , among others. Sean is known for his dedication to producing authentic, high-quality Disco and House music, with a passion for creating vibrant sounds through real musicians, live strings, brass, bass, and percussion, delivering a truly immersive musical experience.
Sean’s debut album, Down To The Disco, is a vibrant blend of soulful, disco, '80s boogie, and house music.
