Matthew “Applehead” Quintana, born and raised on Long Island, New York, is a natural entertainer. His love for being in the spotlight officially started in high school in Elwood, New York, where Matt was cast in a leading role three out of his four years in attendance. Matt got his start in the DJ business in the early 2000’s, when Matt met Joseph Errico, his mentor and manager. Mr. Errico offered Matt an opportunity to work alongside him and learn from him at one of Long Island’s best full-service entertainment companies. It was here where Matt learned the details that ensure a successful event such proper equipment placement, how to equalize a room to allow for the best sound, and the art of knowing when to make announcements. Over the next four years, Matt quickly began MCing events throughout the Tri-State area of New York. His over 20 years of entertainment experience has taught him how to produce a project, taking it from an idea and turning it into an event. While at an audition for the HBO cable television show The Soprano’s, Matthew came across a man in line who after hours of waiting for their turn, Joseph Errico suggested that he come and work at his full service entertainment company based in Coram, Long Island.  It was in the early 2000’s, while working as a Teacher and Director and Assistant Director for a variety of public school drama productions, that Matthew began to work regularly with one of the foremost names in DJ/Entertainment Services on Long Island.  Events ranged from Weddings, to Bar/Bat mitzvahs to corporate events for Automobile Companies and everything in between.  The venues ranged from Catering Halls on the North Shore of Long Island, the back yard weddings in the Hamptons to Hotels on Manhattan.  Matthew enjoyed working for this company for nearly four years until his move to South Florida in 2004.  Matthew has entertained events in venues across the state from Ocala to the Keys Largo, Naples, to Key Biscayne, and everywhere in between. 
It is with his 20 years of performance experience including the stage (performing directing/assistant directing, and other behind the scenes work) that he looks forward to seeing a final product come from a discussion or an idea.
