
This mix marks my first-ever DJ set, created using VirtualDJ under my former DJ alias, Mrolives. Since I retired that name several years ago, this mix serves as a significant milestone in my early mixing journey.

I originally mixed this set in June 2016, though it may have been closer to 2020, as I recall reworking the original version at that time. This mix consists primarily of tracks sourced from various existing sets, interwoven with some of my personal favorites. Given my lack of experience in music production and mixing at the time, I never intended to release it publicly, as I did not believe it had much potential.

Not long after creating this mix, the hard drive containing the original files failed, leading me to assume the mix was permanently lost. However, after undergoing data recovery, I successfully restored this set along with a few others. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the disk failure, most of the other recovered mixes were heavily corrupted.

Due to data corruption, I performed post-processing repairs to address audio glitches, distortion, and playback issues. Some sections were either removed or manually reconstructed, which may result in noticeable cuts or jumps within the mix. One of the most significant repairs was made to the transition between "Still Doin It" and "Electrofusion", where the original transition was entirely lost and had to be recreated from scratch.

As this was my first attempt at DJing and my first experience with VirtualDJ, there are numerous imperfections and transition errors throughout the set. Despite these flaws, I have chosen to release this mix as a reflection of my early progress as a DJ. Given my inexperience at the time, I believe this mix serves as a valuable benchmark in my learning process.
