"Oliver fiddled with his plaid jacket, the loud party flashing in his eyes and ringing in his ears. The lights changed rapidly, like someone replaced each frame of a stop motion with neon colors, enough to feel like Oliver's head grew a tumor the size of a toddler from how bad a headache it had caused. The flashing blotted his eyes like paint splashing his sight. He tries to look to his left, and he can’t make out if it’s just the blotching in his sight, or someone who snuck into the party. He tries to get the attention of a nearby person, their bright cyan hair changing colors along with the lights like a heavenly iridescence."

"He babbled to himself, “What the fuck just came out of me,” and he hooted, “I’m dreaming!”. He truly couldn’t believe that it was real, that he had vomited pink and black checkers like the ones you see when a game object doesn’t load with a texture. He had waited a while for something to happen, an excuse to leave this party, which he had decided to name 'The Fuckening' after a random description he saw on the internet."

It didn't help that the officer kept babbling mindlessly about a cheese store he wanted them both to go to, not focusing on the tight grasp of death approaching him. The officer hears a click of the safety being taken off, and the corners of his mouth curl twistedly.
'See you in hell,' The officer sighs.
