This mix is really special to me, I lost a residency a 6 months before and realized I hadn't been putting in the work to get better. So I locked myself in my bedroom and worked. Learned to scratch, researched music, studied deejays like AM, Mark Ronson, Rick Medina and Clark Kent and it gave myself the confidence to take  more musical risks. The result was this mix that I did live on a 8 track recorder. Gave the mix to the owner of a new club called Stereo in NYC and that's where things changed.

Back in the early - mid 90's on 106.1fm KMEL in San Francisco there was Club 106 on Saturday nights from 8 or 9pm until 2 or 3am with different DJ's in the mix every hour (Joe Quixx, Glen Aurie, Prince Ice, Fred Wreck, Jerry O, Franzen, etc.). I recorded these live to cassette back then and edited out all commercials...
