Its my birthday today, and I have something really special for all my fans!

I made a resolution to myself for the first time in my life: to finally let go of all the expectations I have to make my music 'perfect', to let go of the fear of failure that blocks me from creating, and to learn to 'let go' and accept myself, knowing that I make the music I want to make.

I never became a musician to make money or to become popular, I make music because it makes me happy. Somewhere along the way, the whole experience became distorted and difficult. The truth is, I forgot what made the music special and gave it meaning. It was you, my fans. Not the agencies, not the promoters, not the hype, and definitely not all the bullshit politics in the music business. 

Its very easy to lose yourself when everything stops making sense. I would rather hold on to my integrity knowing I did what I loved, as opposed to making some mediocre music that happens to cater to what's popular this week. Im ready to move forward and progress again, and I hope all of you will come with me!

With all that said, I wrote a little intro track called "Symmetry Breaking" that I was planning to hoard for my live sets… instead, I've decided to make this my birthday gift to all of you. Thank you so much all for all the support, and for always believing in me, even when I stopped believing in myself. I promise big things are soon to come!

As some of you might have guessed by now, music is incredibly important to me. I can't imagine not having the ability to express my creativity and discover more about myself through music; I've always had the option of studying, creating, and performing on musical instruments. I don't know where I would be if my family hadn't been economically able to provide me with all those opportunities. 

Therefore, I think it's important for me to give back. I want to do what I can to help make such opportunities available for people that otherwise couldn't afford them. In an ideal world, monetary barriers wouldn't hinder anyone's ability to experience self-discovery, creativity, and personal growth through music. Although this may only be a small contribution, hopefully I can help lift some of those barriers by donating any money generated by my new single "Everchanging", which comes out on Monday, to VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Today marks my first release as Puppet on Monstercat!

Scribble was the first song I ever wrote under this alias and also the most emotional one. Scribble is the product of a year of hard work and attention to detail while I was working diligently to find my sound. Still, every time I listen a certain emotion is evoked in me. This was my first attempt at expressing myself musically and I couldn't be more happy with it. I am extremely fortunate to have been able to work with one of my great friends The Eden Project on this track. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed the journey to this moment!!
