Formed on the 21st of October 2010, The Doppler Effect is a project initiated to revive the lost glory of the glam/classic rock ages and bring it upto date with a different twist, introducing elements of hard rock, progressive rock and funk into the general sound. Within a few days of formation, The Doppler Effect began to climb heights at an alarming rate. A week after formation, The band was called to play for the MUN (Model United Nations) at Bitz Pilani and later took part in The Gig Week. The Doppler Effect came runners up and had a special mention for best performance at The Open Mic night held at The Living Room Cafe. The Doppler Effect has also performed at Woodstock, SRCC and at Harmony 2011, St. Stephen’s college. following they're quick success, the band has bagged prizes at numerous competitions including best band, best bassist, and best drummer at MDI, and also won at TERI university. taking a giant leap, The band came First at the CHANNEL [V] launchpad Prelims held in Delhi, Making it to the finals and playing at Goa. The Doppler Effect, known for its diversity and versatility, thrives on experimenting with sound and works on achieving a refreshing balance between both technical and musical aspects of their songs.
