With this 6-track EP, Frame shows once again his abilities in the electronic music exploration and production, he blends together very different sounds, creating some of the most interesting tunes we have heard to date. Frame worked on a concept for this EP, mixing dancefloor and more relaxd tunes, a variety of cheerful sounds, deep and footwork. In his on words: “Into the wood” has many pieces recorded in the wood, such as the rustling of the grass and the beating of two pieces of wood. “Primitive Jungle” wants to be a cheerful and dancefloor piece, remembering the South American jungle. “Big Foot” uses footwork sounds mixed with deep rolling elements. “Nerina” is very melodic and the percussions that are heard are sampled goats cowbells. “Progressive Raver” is an ever growing rhythm that starts half-tempo and becomes dnb, with ever-evolving rave voices. “Northern Lights” started as a concept for a half-beat movie sound with a blend of synth growl and sampled instruments. “Ghetto Funk” is breakbeat tune with strong garage influences.
FRAME BIO:
Frame is the alias for Riccardo Calliari, italian born producer and dj. He has always been in love with bass music, making his first steps by mixing vinyls, then becoming interested in the world of electronic production and he studied with the producer and master Luca Fronza. His first releases is on the italian label Singularity Audio, then he made tracks for Delta9 Recordings and Tesseract Recordings. After the first rolling releases, he focuses on a new sound with more footwork and melodic attitudes. Then comes out for the Italian label The Dreamers with an EP called "Natural Sound" and some of his songs have been played on BBC Radio 1 and in Critical Music and Diffrent Music showcases on Rinse FM by artists such as Ulterior Motive, Dexta, Mauoq, Shyun and Was a Be. He also arranges music and produces sound design FX for visual art installations and exhibitions in art galleries.
