"As of Now" is the first full length 
release from The Drowning Horses. 

It was recorded in São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The field recordings were then transformed into backbones for the textures, landscapes and manipulations. This album shows a more veersatile and mature aproach to sound-shifting. These landscapes come from real life recoridngas, speech samples and meolodies created specifically for these project.

Its central theme is religion and quest spiritual enlightenment.

"As of Further Meditations" is an EP that expands into the universe of "As of Now", and contains tracks composed for the project, but that could not find its way into the themes of the record and were left out. 

"Desperation" is the hidden track heard at the end of "The Fiddle". 

"Severance" is a track that could not be fully developed by a reason of problems (including losing the master files on a hard drive crash) and was left unfishined. 

"Skeletons" and "Render" as proto-embodiments of the tracks that ultimately surface in "As of Now". They have opened the way for the development of the record, but did not fit anywhere. They contain the following samples: "Extended Beats" by Jay-Jay Johanson and the latter "Blanket" by Imogen Heap. 

"Snowstorm" closes the EP, in its original long version, before being merged with "Night-Time" and altered slightly. 

This is to be considered as a companion piece to "As of Now".

The Drowning Horses is a drone/ ambient/experimental music project by Thiago Carvalho.
