First appearing on our Tales of the Emporium 002 compilation album, Babel adds this two track EP to the catalog with heavy sub bass with mellow midrange synths to create both a meditative and danceable vibe. The lead-track by the same name is deep and spacious, echoing effects to create an atmosphere as the meditative bassline rides. The second track, "Mimic", is danceable but heavy, aiming to get the bass face engaged while you move to the catchy tune. "My journey started in the early 2000s with rap/hip-hop music. Back then I was mostly active as a songwriter/MC/producer up until 2013. My most known project from that time was ''Plata Brez Rabata'' which was a collaboration mixtape between myself and my good friends/local artists (Luxi,Pingo,Sauce), it included 13 songs, and it was released on December 21st 2013. 

Then my first Outlook Festival happened, and that's where everything changed. 
I feel in love in deep dubstep/drum&bass, and it just felt like a natural progression to move on from making strictly rap/hip-hop music and to expand on my sound.
Looking up to producers like Youngsta, SP:MC, LX One, Biome, I started to slowly shape my own take on that early 2010s deep dubstep sound. As time went on and things got more serious, in 2017 my friends and I decided to form a group of producers and DJ's called Gonobeats which was going to push the sound system culture in our small country, by organizing parties/events and other music related educational programs. As a consequence of that, I made sure to stay very active in the studio by helping to deliver our sound in the best possible way.So far I released 3 self-release EP's and a couple of remixes."

Hailing from the Spirit Lake Nation, Shawn is currently based in Saint Paul, MN, where he draws inspiration from his cultural heritage and diverse musical influences.

Shawn's journey in music began in the hip-hop world, where he honed his skills as an MC, DJ, producer, and finger drummer. Touring extensively with the Zen People across the Midwest, he shared stages with renowned acts such as Three Six Mafia, Nappy Roots, Zion I and more.

Transitioning into the realm of bass music, Shawn found himself at home as a resident DJ for the esteemed Sub:Culture collective based in Fargo, ND. A true force in the experimental bass realm, Trowl has been making serious waves in the Northeastern dubstep scene and beyond. Being one amazed by the crossover of tech, art, and nature, the Trowl project is a clear projection of their life-long infatuation. Their live performances are immersive sound experiences boasting genre-bending selections from deep dubstep, halftime bass, DnB, garage, trap, among other sound-system oriented styles. Their records have been signed to a multitude of labels that showcase their original sound, including Subciety, No Hype and SurRealist Records.

Trowl delivers a dance floor weapon with ‘Subphoria’, a 140 tune that channels the energy and rich history of sound system culture. By blending together a wide range of experimental sounds, the Philadelphia based artist curates a low-end focused journey that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. The title is a fusion of ‘euphoria’ and ‘subwoofer’, and was coined to capture the transcendent experience of being immersed in a sound system live.
