This beautifully put together 5 track EP from Khromi showcases our favorite aspects from the producer like, seamlesss melody, Jazz percussion and flowing bass lines.

Originating from Glasgow, Scotland Hamid (aka Khromi) began his music endeavour playing in Progressive Rock and Blues bands before making the transition to the underground electronic scene. Having a deep desire to expand and experiment with new ideas, he decided to leave the bands and venture into something different.

It was during this period from 2010 to 2012 that Khromi found his passion for electronic music. It was a direct result of the new emergence of dubstep that Khromi was formed.

Khromi fuses the knowledge of Jazz and Blues from his past with an array of electronic music.

Setting out with the hope and ambition to release his music on the record label 'Deep Heads' is what paved the way for Khromi's first ever signed release.

Khromi has had a number of releases on various record labels including: Cut Records, After Dark Music, SmallPrint Recordings, Deep Heads, Off-Switch Audio and several others.

Our first EP of 2025 comes from our long time friend and supporter, @babeldubs , from Northern Virginia. First appearing on our Tales of the Emporium 002 compilation album, Babel adds this two track EP to the catalog with heavy sub bass with mellow midrange synths to create both a meditative and danceable vibe. The lead-track by the same name is deep and spacious, echoing effects to create an atmosphere as the meditative bassline rides. The second track, "Mimic", is danceable but heavy, aiming to get the bass face engaged while you move to the catchy tune. A true force in the experimental bass realm, Trowl has been making serious waves in the Northeastern dubstep scene and beyond. Being one amazed by the crossover of tech, art, and nature, the Trowl project is a clear projection of their life-long infatuation. Their live performances are immersive sound experiences boasting genre-bending selections from deep dubstep, halftime bass, DnB, garage, trap, among other sound-system oriented styles. Their records have been signed to a multitude of labels that showcase their original sound, including Subciety, No Hype and SurRealist Records.

Trowl delivers a dance floor weapon with ‘Subphoria’, a 140 tune that channels the energy and rich history of sound system culture. By blending together a wide range of experimental sounds, the Philadelphia based artist curates a low-end focused journey that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. The title is a fusion of ‘euphoria’ and ‘subwoofer’, and was coined to capture the transcendent experience of being immersed in a sound system live.
