This Christmas - Echo House Mix Demo

Condolences was an awesome band to work with. A bunch of teens that worked hard for what they wanted, and they wanted it more than anything. They described Title Fight as a big influence, so I knew that this had to be big but not as tight as a metal band. There's a beautiful layer of slop that makes the sound more natural. Everything heard is real. That's their drummer playing his drum kit, and their guitars with real amps. An impressive sound to their first EP!

A Virginia Beach based Pop Punk band that spent 4 days recording an EP.  All real drums recorded here at The Echo House along with real tube amps.

Strayer and Red Herring came in to record at The Echo House. 
First off, the bass tone in this song was described to me, and I feel like I really achieved a fat, thick tone, with a grindy top end... so very Dug Pinnick of King's X was what I was going for with this bands bass tone. Guitars are all real 5150's recorded with an SM57, and all of the drums are real... there's no triggers, and no sound replacement. Just good drums, with good mics, good pres, and good compressors and EQs.
