"this is not a song. i have reasons to believe that there are foul spirits that are being cast on me to bring suffering and misery to my life. it would be beneficial for the listener to view this as a snapshot of my daily cleansing ritual to rid myself of these spirits. 

since this is the first release under this name i would like to clarify my intention to dispel any false beliefs. the use of 'Edgar' is one of reclamation. i completely believe the way people use the name Edgar to refer to latin american men is racist. latin americans are completely objectified by American society, and 'Edgar' is an extension of that — just another way to refer to a race in a way that isn’t completely offensive, but that still reminds them that they will never truly be human in the eyes of the white society. therefore, I use this name to rid it of its meaning. Edgar is a name. we are the Edgars and we are one or two or ten guys named Edgar who make spiritual music. Blah blah blah."
