The Ehems debut album “The Ehems”  is their love letter to New York City. The trio are all native to New York and decided that more music about New York and all of its glory was definitely necessary. The good & bad, death & decay, Bodega Men, egg & cheeses, dollar pizza, trash, rats, sadness, happiness, homelessness, hopefulness, poverty, wealth, connectedness, different people, recycling of people, recycling of places, good intentions, and big downfalls, are all things that make New York City the special place it is. The Ehems are a trio based out of NYC. The expression "Ehem" is the sound someone makes when they're clearing their throat, trying to attract attention, express doubt or give a warning. The name is telling in that “ehem” is an involuntary expression in many cases - in other words, it's something you need to do, something you need to get out, not something you can control. This makes it versatile enough to be unsound and/or robust - just as The Ehems are. The Ehems ultimately strive to be undefined, ironic and contradictory, yet universal and decisive, creating something truly new and unique.
