GRAMMY-nominated producers Andrew Bayer and Gabriel & Dresden join forces with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and vocalist Sub Teal on ‘Other Eye’, out now on Anjunabeats.

Andrew Bayer, Gabriel & Dresden & Sub Teal have been integral parts of the trance scene for over a decade. They make their collaborative debut on ‘Other Eye’, a track played extensively by Above & Beyond in recent performances at Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest and more.

Andrew Bayer has been responsible for the most experimental and ambitious artist albums on Anjunabeats. His 2011 debut ‘It’s Artificial’ merged glitch-hop, electronica and prog house, while on 2013’s ‘If It Were You, We’d Never Leave’ he pushed the envelope further with a critically-acclaimed journey of electronica and sunny, instrumental hip-hop. 2018's ‘In My Last Life’ wove the emotive songwriting of Ane Brun and Alison May into a modern alt-pop masterpiece. His fourth studio album, ‘Duality’, is one of his most ambitious works to date; climbing to #1 on the US / Canada iTunes Dance chart and attracting support from Sirius XM's Diplo and Liquid Todd, BBC Radio 1's Annie Nightingale and KCRW's Jason Bentley.

This year, Andrew followed up the success of ‘Duality’ with a far-reaching North American tour and made an appearance at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge. He also joined Seven Lions on his ‘Journey III’ tour with stops at The Greek Theatre, MGM Hall, Avant Gardner (Brooklyn Mirage), Downtown Las Vegas Event Center, Santa Barbara Bowl and beyond.

Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden, aka Gabriel & Dresden, have built an enduring legacy across their 20+ year career. Known for their unique brand of ‘emotional dance music,’ the DJ and producer duo helped define the sound of modern trance music with hits like ‘As The Rush Comes’, ‘Beautiful Things’ and ’Tracking Treasure Down.’ The pair also created three essential mixes on BBC Radio 1, won Best American DJ, Best Producers and Best Remixers at the IDMA Awards, scored 21 #1’s on the Billboard Dance Chart, peaked at #20 on DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s poll and have performed in over 40 countries.

Gabriel & Dresden made their ‘The Only Road’ and ‘Remedy’ albums off the back of Kickstarter campaigns released on Anjunabeats in 2017 and 2020 respectively. Title track ‘Only Road’,’ co-written and performed by Sub Teal, went on to be remixed by Cosmic Gate and was subsequently nominated for a GRAMMY in 2018. They stayed active during the pandemic with their Club Quarantine lockdown Twitch streams, growing a community of over 50k, and followed it up in real life with their ‘Gabriel & Dresden + Friends’ tour. The pair return to Anjunabeats after their last single on the label, ‘Bias’, which earned support from Cosmic Gate, Darude, Genix, Farius and more.

Sub Teal has been a longtime collaborator with Gabriel & Dresden as a songwriter and vocalist on ‘The Only Road’ and ‘Remedy’ albums. As a DJ, she joined Gabriel & Dresden on all dates of the ‘Gabriel & Dresden + Friends’ tour, as well as performing weekly on the Club Quarantine live stream. ‘Other Eye’ marks the first of many upcoming collaborations for this gifted singer/songwriter.

Astral Records opens the month of March by welcoming Emiliano Demarco & Maxi Vega to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, both Emiliano and Maxi have achieved measurable success in their respective solo careers. Both approaching a decade's worth of production credits, Emiliano and Maxi have been producing a mesmerizing blend of melodic house and techno from their Buenos Aires based studios. As occasional production partners the duo have combined their extensive forces for releases via Eleatics Records, Future Romance and Sequence Music, amongst others, while also receiving support from 8kays, Coeus, Massano,Oostil and Tale of Us. Now, continuing to build on their creative partnership, Emiliano and Maxi add Astral Records to their resume with a three track showcase entitled 'Triton'. Emiliano and Maxi continue to explore their astral style on the lead selection 'Triton'. Fluid and energetic throughout, it's a framework of punchy kick drums and rippling basslines which lay the foundation for flashing percussion, crunchy rhythms and striking stabs to create an otherworldly vibe. Icy pads and panning arps emerge across the main break, adding a dose of character and emotion into the mix, bringing with them uplifting tones, as a pitch-shifting narrative perfectly sets the course for a rousing crescendo and electric peak time finale. The hypnotic foray 'Saturn' follows and further cements the duo's dancefloor minded ethos. Its rippling drive is anchored by powerful beats and a clever coax of vibrant percussive; nicely accented with sci-fi vocal samples and wonky chord stabs to tie it all together. A prophetic off-kilter narrative proves to be the most enchanting element however, tastefully building to a darker monochrome across the main break, before further vocal manipulation and hopeful sonics prelude a warped build and chunky drop, one which will bring life to even the most discerning of dancefloors. The third and final selection finds Emiliano and Maxi crafting a similarly club-effective cut entitled 'Felina'. Sitting as the most elusive sounding of the three, its titanium kick drums and meditative pulse build copious amounts of energy, as astral stabs steal the air, while rhythms ripple and driving percussion flows forward. A trance-inspired vocal shifts the mood leading into the break, bringing with it a unique balance of the past and present, pushing onwards to a finale of boisterous stabs and edgy designs that would be equally at home above a festival skyline, or sitting in the sweet spot of a main room set.
