Annexed away from the spotlight glare of his tastemaker Drumcode label, Mad Eye is Adam Beyer’s own production platform with no strict music policy, release schedule or artist roster. A personal musical retreat; the record label equivalent of a good holiday, Mad Eye releases are few and far between. Waited on with anticipation and excitement as Beyer comes up with something different from the norm, uninhibited by any expectation.

Adam Beyer’s latest Mad Eye offering has been a long time coming. Released just over two years since the previous EP, followers of the label will immediately recognize the understated, groove-filled tech house tones for which Mad Eye is know. ‘Flap’ leads things off with a burrowing groove underpinning hypnotic, jittery effects and intricate layering while b-side ‘Dot’ brings low throbbing bass, weaving metallic sounds and punchy beats. Finally, ‘Twist’ fuses swinging percussive vigor with deep shunting bass and haunting drawn-out horns to complete a classic sounding Mad Eye record.

Phyr Records is the new label from Italy's Pyramidal Decode that has featured top artists like Takaaki Itoh, Dimi Angélis, PWCCA, and Oliver Rosemann, since launching in 2024. Now presenting a joint LP release with Oscar Mulero titled 'Il Poema,' this follows four albums already in just three years.

Pyramidal Decode lists prestigious appearances on labels including Jeff Mills' Axis, Oscar Mulero's Warm Up, Bas Mooy's Mord, and Svreca's Semantica, among many other significant techno imprints as he continues to explore his trippy, cerbral sound.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Virgilio" with it's brooding tension from the throbbing percussion programming. Driving, chopping frequencies and modular accents develop the aesthetic to a wild journey of intensity and contemporary purism.
