In steps Drumsauw on Kuukou with a slice of sophisticated Dub-Techno demonstrating deftness of touch and a firm grip on mood.

Hailing from Plymouth on the south coast of the UK, Drumsauw is a burgeoning talent who is yet to set a foot wrong across records on DCLTD, Hydraulix and Codex that have garnered support from heavyweights such as Sam Paganini, Rodhad and Adam Beyer. 

Straight out of the blocks on his 'Abyss', quality of craft is clear. The title track dials a surly, greyscale vibe as locomotive drums drive through thick plumes of fog which are gently illuminated in dusky hues by breathing synths and sweeps. On-beat claps, rich reverbs and urgent stabs maintain a brewing energy. 

The aptly titled 'Tension' then closes things up with a clinic in energy and atmospherics. Very few elements are neatly honed for maximum impact as drums tumble in unison gathering impetus as they roll. Spacious reverbs and panned delays generate a vast and chilly space for the drums to criss-cross and interlock in while another focal stab acts as a hook for the floor.

Kobold is a relatively young record label from Argentina with an eye on the underground releasing raw and hypnotic techno from host of talent including Esteban Miranda and Rhombic.

Their nineteenth EP sees Spanish up-and-comer BIORC join the ranks of Kobold, with a back catalogue that includes superb labels like Joton's Newrhythmic, MTD's Methodical, and Diffuse Reality.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "A Cal y Canto" which presents a cyclical style. A melancholic tone lurks throughout, and droning, haunting textures combine with chopping, analogue sounds which intensify the deep emotions instilled into a classy contemporary techno take.

Phyr Records is the new label from Italy's Pyramidal Decode that has featured top artists like Takaaki Itoh, Dimi Angélis, PWCCA, and Oliver Rosemann, since launching in 2024. Now presenting a joint LP release with Oscar Mulero titled 'Il Poema,' this follows four albums already in just three years.

Pyramidal Decode lists prestigious appearances on labels including Jeff Mills' Axis, Oscar Mulero's Warm Up, Bas Mooy's Mord, and Svreca's Semantica, among many other significant techno imprints as he continues to explore his trippy, cerbral sound.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Virgilio" with it's brooding tension from the throbbing percussion programming. Driving, chopping frequencies and modular accents develop the aesthetic to a wild journey of intensity and contemporary purism.
