The Fades are set to release the next single from their blistering new indie rock post-punk paragon 'Night Terrors'. 

'Drives Me On' is a powerful indie rock rallying cry for the power of friendship with a triumphant soaring chorus that makes you want to jump up and sing. 

After receiving rave reviews of the new album and getting tracks onto loads of great playlists (editorial and curated) the band are heading out on tour to play the record live with some highlight shows including 229 Club Soho, Lions Den Manchester, the Lexington in Islington and much more coming over the next few months.

The Fades release brand new single ‘Small Again’ on Sept 8th 2023.

We all get a little misty eyed at the thought of our past, remembering good times and bad. Times that leave an indelible mark on our being.

We’ve all been there at times… losing faith in life, questioning who to turn to for solace and meaning – and this time it’s lead singer and guitarist Dave Lightfoot of South London garage rockers The Fades. Having heard a rumour that Keanu Reeves was filming around the corner from their rehearsal studios just after experiencing a midlife breakup, Dave’s imagination was set alight thinking: imagine bumping into Keanu on the street, hanging out and going back to the studio with him for a jam together – then an amazing lifelong relationship can begin, but before that there’s a song to write and here it is…

Looking for Keanu is a 90’s inspired slice of slacker indie rock that features The Fades at their most reflective and self-effacing.

The naked honesty in the verse lyric is plain to see but even in the darkest moments there’s always hope to guide us through to better times and then comes the chorus: it’s powerful, catchy and you can’t help but be lifted up by its energy. There’s the video too, jam packed with ‘Easter eggs’ from Keanu’s various films, all shot around the area where Keanu was filming in South London when Dave came up with the song.

The Fades team up with Keith TOTP in tribute to wireless

Best known for their witty and frenetic brand of Garage-Punk, The Fades are back with a special release featuring the much lauded Keith Top of the Pops.

Harking back to the golden days of the 80s and 90s when Rock ruled the world and gas was cheap, the song is an invitation to pull on those old worn-out jeans and think about the first girl/boy you ever fell in love with.

"We grew up listening to The Boss, The Heartbreakers, Cars... you know, classic rock. There's nothing better than blaring Nils Lofgrens 'Keith Don't go' out of the car going through Putney." Says big-haired ax-wielding Jonny Fade.
"It's great working with Keith, his philosophies and unique approach to rock really brings out the best. Jonny and I played on his last two brilliant albums and he played a big part in making our album Ragnarok happen. We thought 'Hey! Let's properly do a tune together, you and us.' Recounts singer Dave.

Sure to be the greatest late night American driving song released this year, 'Heard it on the Radio' will be released August 5th 2013 through Genepool Records.
