Whoever did the final mix on this tune pushed the second verse of the vocals way out of sync. Not sure how he managed that as the rest of vocals remained in sync. Unfortunately, Steve can’t fix this, nor re-record the vocals, because the tracks are no longer available. A pity, because he feels the vocals could be done better second time around, given more time to perfect them.

Exchanging feedback is the best way to support one another, while at the same time keeping showcase sites like Soundcloud alive; if we are not proactive these sites will eventually become inactive, impotent, leaving us with nowhere to showcase our music!

How do feel about us gathering proactive musicians, those who understand the value of swapping MEANINGFUL support, actual listens, constructive feedback, sharing posts on X, Facebook, etc., into a community called THE FEEDBACK FAMILY, which would include playlists made up of those musicians who sign on to the project—want be part of it?

Why swap support, swap genuine listens, feedback and shares?

We are all competing with tens of millions of musicians; to say it’s overcrowded out there is a huge understatement, and it’s that overcrowding that makes it so difficult to reach an audience—it’s exactly like searching for a needle in a haystack, and who has the time to do that!

That’s why the support of other musicians is so important, that’s why the respect, the hype, the acknowledgement must start with us! When we are so dismissive of each other’s talent, why should a listening audience treat us any differently!   

When we disrespect, dismiss and shun each other’s talent and music, what we are saying to the world is, we don’t waste our time listening to the tunes of unsigned and independent musicians because they are inferior to those signed, established, musicians—it’s negative advertising!

If we are to have any chance of breaking the stranglehold of a mercenary music industry, if we are to have any chance of convincing a potential audience that our music is , more than not, actually superior to signed music, more inventive, more innovative, more creative, more imaginative, and a whole lot less formulaic!

Music has come a long way, it’s never been so diverse, so it’s ridiculous that people are forced to listen to formula conveyor belt music, high on production, low on substance! Listeners have no idea they are being spoon-fed scrag ends; they belief the myth that signed means superior—well I’ve heard enough unsigned music to know that just ain’t true….but we’re never going to prove that as long as we continue to treat each other’s music as though it were worthless! @MusiciansWithVision
