Fall Apart

The only thing wrong with the original release of Rumours was that there wasn't enough space to fit Silver Springs on it. Relegated to the B side of Go Your Own Way, this beautiful song didn't quite get its moment in the sun, which caused some friction within the band (like they needed more).

This edit was created to celebrate the 40th birthday of Rumours and to bring a track that means so much to fans and myself - to the dance floor. The original can't be bettered, but I enjoyed adding some cosmic disco elements and extensions. I played it for the first time at Public Works San Francisco at our Fleetmac Wood Rumours Rave (on the official anniversary date of the album's release). The response was great from the crowd, which meant a lot as its a daunting task to edit a track you love so much.

The recent Rumours Deluxe re-release now includes Silver Springs. So all is right in the world and as it should be.

Bristol boogie dons – The Allergies, are back with another hot single to rip up dancefloors, and once again they’ve got champion MC and producer Andy Cooper (Ugly Duckling) to assist in their funky endeavours. 

After combining so well previously on their debut (6 Music album of the day) record – ‘As We Do Our Thing’, the guys have cooked up another beast of a jam, and this time around it’s an irresistibly groove laden 80’s influenced disco number.  

‘Love That I’m In’ is a sweet cruise through grooves in the style of Indeep that expertly blends smooth rolling funk beats, sensual female vocals, and a signature tongue-twisting rap from Mr. Cooper. Its slinky melodies and gloriously catchy hook maintains the easy-on-the-ears, dance-your-pants-off effect the guys always deliver.

Portland based songwriter Leo Islo continues to go from strength to strength with each subsequent release. ‘Lush Life’ is Islo’s first original of 2017 as the artist opens a new chapter in his already promising career.

Raw, untamed bass lines with Leo’s signature grainy distortion gives the track an undeniably, powerful character. A mixture of ambient chords, undulating pads, and field recordings add a variety of textures to the song.

Tapping vocalist Dani Poppitt for this single reveals Islo’s progression as a budding composer and songwriter. LEO ISLO is the moniker of Portland-based producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Matt Pahler.

Born in Santiago, Chile and raised in the small mountain city of Flagstaff, Arizona, LEO ISLO amassed an eclectic mix of art from the world around him, instilling a sense of wanderlust at a young age. By 17 and armed with a fake ID, he began touring as a drummer playing at a variety of venues across Arizona from local bars and clubs to casinos and popular lounges. It wasn’t long before his desire and self-motivation lead him to songwriting and learning guitar.

It was during a move from Los Angeles to Portland that LEO ISLO found himself drawn to the world of electronic music for the first time. Artists like Jai Paul, Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi, Caribou, Washed Out, and Grimes became early influences on his approach to production, fueling his propensity to create tracks with retro-soaked synths, ethereal pop vocals, warm guitar lines, and analog driven beats.
