This is my recording of an unreleased Brian Wilson classic from 1963 Called 'Malibu Sunset'. Written with Gary Usher & Roger Christian, this is a haunting peice that is just over 2 minutes long but takes the listener on a little journey of longing and heartbreak. The song is a great early example of some of the groundbreaking work Wilson & Usher would go on to make together with the Beach Boys. The only recordings available of this song are poor quality so I decided to try and bring it to life. Hope you enjoy it. Its really a homage to Brian Wilson so if you havent listened to the BEACH BOYS then go get started...

Nothingness is both empty and full....One of the songs I love the most. This is an electronic version of my song 'Wrecking Crew - Eyes Left'. The original version is on Southern Tenant Folk Union album 'The Chuck Norris project'n with a bluegrass and strings arrangement. Here I have replaced the instrumentation and vocal to give the song a more electronic/ambient feel.

Flashmans Gone

When I was a boy we would play football out the back and there was an old man who used to walk by us and we would give him grief. His name was Mr Flood and there were 2 rumours about him kicking around the neighbourhood. 1. That he killed his wife while she watched the 'Late Late' Show (by picking up the TV and smashing it on her head). 2. That he made bombs in his house. The only thing I knew for sure about Mr Flood is a) that he was a misfit in society and b)that he came back from the corner shop with boxes of old bananas...I just wanted to write a song about something from my youth and he popped in there. A man who was ridiculed by everyone around him, crazy rumours, jostled by youths for receiving bananas...the poor guy probably made banana bread, not bombs... So this one goes out to Mr Flood. Sorry for standing by while you got a good slagging...and for all the other people I stood and watched get ridiculed...kids can be cruel!

One of my most polished early efforts production wise. Car Crashes, wood blocks, baby giggling and lots of instruments setting a nice tone (I think). Golden rule refers to the only real universal truth in organized religion 'treating others as you would be treated'
