The Fleeces is a band led by Tim Perry (Portland, OR) with his friends Lindsay Thorson (Denver, CO), JT Schweitzer (Los Angeles, CA), and Danny Boatright (Colorado Springs, CO). Perry's former projects include Weed Diamond and Terrainisblank. Boatright and Schweitzer also performed in Weed Diamond. Since then, Schweitzer has been a member of Media Jeweler and numerous other projects. Thorson met Perry, Schweitzer, and Boatright in Denver in 2008/09, and was also in Weed Diamond for less than one week. Eventually, their bond sustained living in three different states and they decided to make music together again. The Fleeces officially formed in January 2016.
