A genre-evolving and self-evolving song about recovery that explores many different types of music before finding it's salvation in rock. Imagery of a car accident and non-responsive person. Slowly as they fight their way through this "new collision," we learn the lessons we need to learn.

A Place Where I Can Breathe

The disinformation can be jarring and overwhelming. In a world where we don't know what is true and what is false, we turn to our musical outlet. The passion that comes from creating is what helps carry us through the uncertainty.

Prey

Being stuck inside for all most of 2020 and part of 2021 left its mark. This song was written with a bit of angst about being stuck inside with only the familiar view of the direct outside world. The feeling of being stuck and isolated. We hope this song resonates with all those who battled mental health issues but are finally getting their relief now.

Sunset Hill

A song that celebrates heading out for a night in the city after a few years of being stuck at home. Getting back to normal has a whole new sense of wonder these days.

Saturday Night In The City

A song dedicated to our punk rock roots & to our Ninjago audience. They grew up listening to our stuff and we grew up listening to this stuff. So now we're referencing "going to a show" while also referencing "playing on a show."

Nostalgia

This is a song about crossing over into a new world. This voyage will test every fabric of your endurance but for those who are willing to make the trip, it was never an option. In the eye of the storm, we know that we will make it or die trying. It's about faith in yourself, when it's time to rise to the occasion.

Going Under

This is an introspective song that takes aim at our subconscious, inner child, lost friend or the inner voice in all of us. It offers comfort from what is often a rocky road internally. There is something within us that is beyond this world.

Always Here With You

The OG version of Young and Free, this was the first single off the album. It embodies a feeling we think our listeners embrace as well. We have something in our nature that is different, that keeps us inspired and to keep creating for the sake of creating. We don't know what it is, but we are thankful to share this anthem with our audience.

Young And Free

This song encapsulates the trying and sometimes beautiful times that came out of the recent pandemic. But it also tells a story of the things that bring us back to who we are deep down. In this song, we are speaking to whatever it is that grounds the listener. This song is dedicated to that which gets us through.

World Gone Mad

This is a song about growing up and looking back, while constantly looking forward. What we eventually come to realize, is that we're living in what will one day be looked at as the good old days.

Behind Us Now

A song about the reciprocal effects of our actions. When you look around, it's important to recognize you are free to create a new world from the one you have in front of you. We wanted to pass along the perspective we've come to learn.

Sometimes, for one reason or another, we start a Ninjago remix and then decide to go a different direction. We’ve been saving these alternate versions, until now! 

This one was feeling really cool when we were working on it in the basement, but didn’t totally fit the vibe of the season once we started playing it for the animation team, and so we collectively decided to put this one in our back pocket and pivot in a different direction to work on what came to be “The Wicked Whip” instead. 

In hindsight, I can see that we never would have arrived at the version we did without first crafting the verse you hear in this song… the similarities are there, if you listen closely. So, it was a WIN/WIN — because now we get to enjoy both versions out there in the Digiverse!
