Today’s million dollar question is: will there be music after the sudden death of the music industry? The better question might be: was the industry there for the music or for the hype? Or has the industry killed the music? What a relief not having to think about that anymore, some young folks in Zurich, Switzerland thought and started to do what they can do best: just play their music, straight from the heart, no double bottom and no A&R advice. Here we go with THE FORMERS. No record deal? No problem. You won’t be on tour for three weeks, but there’s a cozy local scene in Zurich, where THE FORMERS became an attraction and their gigs are just packed whenever they play. A solid blend of Indie Rock, Singer Songwriter and traces of New Wave, the band aims for higher goals. Don’t miss them when they’re around next. They have all the ingredients for an excellent live performance, be it the soulful voice of singer Matt, the dense sound collages of guitarist Luc, all embedded in the tight backbeat of bassist Bartek and drummer Ulrich.
