Starlight Thursdays Episode 149 featuring HNNH. 

We’re always stoked to get a visit from HNNH. They constantly pack a punch out the sound system with their wide range of eclectic music and seamless mixing style. Whether at the club, house party, festival or burning man they bring the vibe. I personally love their stage presence and the connection they have with the dancers. I’ve seen HNNH hypnotize the crowd into a swaying groove to full on jumping hands in the air time after time. 
This was their first time at Suit Two. If you’re not familiar with the space, it’s a Missoula basement art spot in a big old warehouse. There’s often parties and art shows hosted by Mark Myriad featuring a huge variety of local talent. It’s definitely worth checking out. This particular event was a fundraiser for blue mountain clinic in Missoula which provides abortion and gender affirming care, at a time when access to these services are under attack. HNNH reached out and invited me to come and record their set. Really glad I did and appreciate the invite. Capturing live recordings from parties are always great and it’s amazing how well they take us back to that moment. In this case dancing with a bunch of familiar faces, close friends and the chance to get to know some rad people I hadn’t met before. I love that these parties have a way of bringing us together. A shared moment of dance, an inspiring conversation on the couch, bumping into your friends for a smoke… HNNH knows this environment very well and has often set the soundtrack of my evening in a direction I truly appreciate.

Music has been such an integral part of our lives - shaping who we are, where we’ve been, and who we will become. A mix long in the making, HNNH came to slay. This set serves as a reflection on how music ties us together through time and space, a freshly re-imagined retrospect.

Unhinged from a crowd, a venue, and strong elbowed DJs, "bedroom" mixes free the artist, allowing them to craft a truly individual mix. You’re in the foxhole!

Foxhole Mixcast 010: HNNH

HNNH has been sharing underground tunes since 2011 when she met Beav Murnion (FKA Trenchdweller), who was her first friend in Montana and her DJ mentor. Drawing inspiration from rhythms and percussion, the sound and style of this mix highlights Baltimore Club (a fusion of breakbeat, hip hop, and house that is characterized by repetitive [often raunchy/goofy] vocal samples and intentionally ruff beats), Jersey Club (an offshoot of b-more club), and Techno! Longtime member of the Fox Den and half of the Back to Back Duo known as DIESELQUEEF with her partner RedVelvet. If you didn’t catch her sets at Disco Blood Bath, Burning man, Forest Creatures 3,  NYE Speakeasy Burlesque, or the zillion other amazing parties she’s performed at then it's certainly time to loose yourself to this epic mix! 
A few words from HNNH about this mix.
During my time in Baltimore, I fell in love with club music, the jaw-dropping dance moves that accompany it, and the people I met while out on the town. This mix features old school Baltimore club names (KW Griff @kw-griff, DJ Technics, Blaqstarr @blaqstarrmusic), new school katz (Mighty Mark @mightymarkadventures, TT the Artist @tttheartist), other artists influenced by the Baltimore sound (MIA, Pharrell/N.E.R.D., DJ SWISHA @dj-swisha), and more. I tap into a much faster mixing style-- typical of club music, dropping over 30 tracks in just over an hour. Get ready for a wacky fun ride!
