¬¬The Framed is a four piece group consisting of members from all along the A96, and one Wicker who upped and moved to a less rural part of the world, although only slightly. The group formed due to a distinct love of all things musical and an inherent desire to get out of the mundane life of 9 to 5 working.  Their music is upbeat rock with some punk simplicity, indie sensibilities and some sometimes naive and thoughtful lyrical content thrown in for a more vindaloo type kick.
Having had an uncountable amount of line-ups over the past few years and a few different names the two constant members of the band (Gareth Burr and Glynn McGregor) finally came together with Jamie Reid and Steve Ross to create a full line up.  After honing their sound through an array of home recordings the band have been recording their debut EP “I Don’t Know” at Monnow Valley studios with producer Paul Tipler and also Mastering the EP at Metropolis Studios by John Davis. The EP consists of 4 energetic tracks that are very different from the over polished, effect drenched tracks that have flooding the airwaves in recent years.
As well as recording, the band has been gigging as much as possible and has already had their first festival appearance and supported bands such as the commitments. With the band releasing the “I Don’t Know” EP in the next few months and a string of gigs coming up it should be an exciting rest of the year for the band.
