I'm glad you're talking about this. My mom had me on the Summer's Eve EARLY. Before I even had a period and knew what a pH was. There such a pressure among women but especially in our community to smell and taste like fruit when vagina have never been meant to smell and taste like that. The shaming starts EARLY.

I use Honeypot everything. The wash, tampons, pads, liners. Then for body I use the Naturium Glow Getter Body wash and either their lipid lotion or Eucerin intensive repair lotion. I also love Weleda's skinfood body butter or lotion. My skin can be sensitive to scrubs sometimes if they're too harsh so I use Topical's Slather exfoliating serum.  Another good body wash is Glossier's Hero Wash and its gyno approved.

They have this same conversation about cis people that are Pro Black and leaders in the movement but oftentimes have white partners. It's a very heated topic.

Fran!!!!! I know exactly what you mean. That was my fear too cuz i used to grt car sick a lot when i was a kid. Howeveerrrr, one day i finally decided to go for it (on an empty stomach) and nothing happened and it was SO fun i went right back on it!

Definitely knew girls who had more developed bodies and started their cycles as early as 8. Kids in my middle school were having sex and one girl had to “go live with her aunt for year” when we were barely 10/11. It’s crazy but it happens.
