The Vegan Voodoo Man is a modern version of a classical Greek tragedy. In four parts this musical tale first introduces us to the Voodoo Priest who questions his own ancient religion when he falls in love with a beautiful young woman. In part two the young priest is celebrated when his flock sings about his new ways. His beautiful new girlfriend, a young nubile vegan from the neighboring island, convinces him to swear off animal sacrifice in exchange for her love. But alas, in the end, even his daring new direction does not secure the love of the young woman. In fact, as he laments in the final haunting chorus, he is left outside of his tribe for challenging the ancient ways, without love or the power he once possessed as a voodoo priest.
