"The three kits consists of bass drums, claps, hats and shakers taken from my tracks, like The Anger, Sunday Morning and so on. The sounds are mostly handmade or hybrid. The bass drums either comes form an MBase or a Vermona DRM1.

Personally I found it hard to use the OP-1 for dance music without these very basic important sounds, so I decided to create my own kits. I did this because I love the machine and want to give a part of me to make it even better. Enjoy!"

The mix features a lot of new music at the beginning and end, plus a few personal favorites in the middle since I hadn't played Phoenix in a decade.  What sets it apart for me is the interesting melodic interactions which provide dramatic tension

I really felt the love here from the Dvina crew - not everybody appreciates the subtlety of a set that relies on interesting mixing over obvious drops but i definitely feel like people got it here and it was a true pleasure to visit <3
