Summer 2023 Mix

The year 2023 was very special for us, with the return of the FATALITY project, the construction of our studio, the release of 5 tracks and some incredible shows that will forever remain in our memory. To celebrate this special moment and in response to many requests, our SET 2023 is live!

The reason we waited until now for the release was to be able to create a SET that had only original songs, with our characteristics, identity, personality and that truly represented what the FATALITY project is, now turn the volume up to maximum and enjoy this sound experience!

FATALITY SET 2023

Keeping the momentum moving, we’re bringing you this mix from the neurofunk powerhouse duo Kaizen Flow! 

Kaizen Flow are no strangers to the scene with releases on labels such as Eatbrain, Neuroheadz, VTO Recordings and Expedite Records. Prepare yourself for some unrelenting neurofunk!

MURMIX016: Kaizen Flow (Guest Mix)

This is a tune that came together over the course of the last year.  It started with the breaks.  I've always been searching for a drum sound like what I achieved here.  And then it was a matter of piecing together the rest of the track.  I think it sounds like something you would hear on an old Renegade Hardware mix from like 2003.  And I've always been a huge fan of Kemal & Rob Data.

The first important thing to note about this mini mix is that it loops back into itself... It essentially begins where it ends. The loop also represents how all music comes round in cycles.

Drum and bass is a real tour de force at the moment and everyone across the dance music spectrum is feeling its presence. It’s heavily infiltrating the charts, creating its own narratives on social media and leading the way for a lot of progressive new sounds within dance music. I strongly believe dance music is all one family and I wanted to show that in this mini mix, starting at present day, it will show you where D&B comes from and serve as a mini history lesson.

This was a shorter show due to being in the week where Europe has already switched back from DST but the Americas haven't yet, so we meet in the middle and both shorten our slot by 30 minutes. I had some busy week(s) prior and not really made up my mind what to play, so when it doubt, play Bad company, right? I had pulled out a lot more vinyls but ended up sticking to 100% Bad Company for the full 90 minutes, with so many great tunes. Enjoy!
