A special mix for us was recorded by our friend @fido147. Elie El-Khoury is a young architect and musician from Lebanon. As the musician says about his work, his hometown of Beirut and the Eastern culture that he absorbed with his mother's milk had a tremendous influence on him, but the main source of inspiration for Fido is nature itself in all its diversity and grandeur.

DJ Healing Stones (Yegor) is a Russian born DJ and producer. Currently residing in Thailand, he stays pretty underground and incommunicado bar his Soundcloud where he occasionally posts spellbinding sets that were played all around the world.

Yegor has put ethnic beats, downtempo, spacey electro as well as organica and hypnotic techno records together into a rousing audio experience reminiscent of a mystical, dark yet blissful ancient ritual. 

Yegor and his friend Misha are currently working on a project called “MYRRH” that focuses on interlacing spiritual music with electronic analog sound. Stay tuned for new releases, but in the meantime you can catch their live sets in Thailand, Bali and some other parts of Southeast Asia.

The wise men, owning a treasure trove of secrets and comprehended the inmost names, rewrote the pages rom ancient scrolls, and then led them in such a state...Let it be known for this reason a fertile story ...In a certain kingdom, in some states, lived Great Shah, he was exalted by fate, his palace was a work of art masters from Bukhara, facades were white like camphor, reflecting sunlight and directing it in all possible directions...That palace was seen from all parts of the Earth and even the heavenly inhabitants flew down to enjoy this splendor...Around and inside were spread staying in eternal delight gardens, filled, standing shoulder to shoulder all kinds of fruit trees, singing delightful trills birdies and spangled carpets-flowers-stars, fragrant and shining on the generosity of the creator like milky Way...That Shah have a 16,108 graceful, sweetvoice, stareyed wives and 16, 107 indescribable beauty daughters and...1 son, famous for favorable qualities...His name was Nicolas Sheikholeslami, but everyone called him the Sheikh...With talent and abilities, oriented on musical performance, young man played when on horizon of the sky included in full splendor and brilliance of the new luminary and ends when it's replaced by the mysterious smile of the moon, washed by the waters of the seven brooks (creeks)...All kingdom enjoyed this source of living water which he called spiritczualic...Pundits taught him mystic, psycho-active combination, consisting initially of two elements: spiritual & ritualic and then expanding to the universal infinity...With this deep, brotherly connection, he can easily like a gazelle, traveling in cypress grove, create and describe the slightest changes in consciousness, caused by movements of the mind chariot, drawn by five bay horses-feelings entrained in such a sensual rhythms, containing all secrets of time and space...One day, master from the Earth of Dragons, great in the art of contemplation came to the palace...By the call of his nature and because of the innate craving for new experiences, young Sheikh was captured...With astonishment and delight, he looked at the sage, who was sitting in a lotus asana, and in front of him putting a bamboo table, signed with mysterious hieroglyphs, which were laid outlandish tools and...tea...With the acumen of running cheetah and a great desire to share positive sentiments, he played a magical melody, which is so delighted hearing and the sage taught him everything he knew...Ever since that times Sheikh becomes a great connoisseur of tea affairs and got a new name - Caykh...We were there, drank that tea, strong as love, filled and recorded these melodies on the Amateur Exotic page...

"Those not familiar with Jones’ style, will listen slack-jawed at the shear anticipatory nature of his sound collage. Initially released by Staalplaat in 1999 (the same year of his passing away) as part of the ‘Box Of Silk And Dogs’ comes out again as a double LP. He was a cult artist, politically motivated for the arab-palestinian cause and a seminal experimenter of the ethnical samples’ use with minimal and electronic rhythms. The atmospheres retain intact the original charm made out of full and gloomy, but pulsating in the provoked emotions, very different from the exotic and ornamental processing of certain world music. Drum machines, old synths, percussion, all combined in a traditional way, without any computer help. Sounds anyway already permeated with what will have come, drawing on different genres but always supporting a specific poetic. “Peace is a distant dream” Bryn Jones said, in one of his latest interviews. He died for a rare blood disease, and on both sizes things seem to unfortunately still be the same.
Ingaza is thematically and stylistically all over the place, sporting atmospheric instrumental loops one moment and jarring, heavily barbed and distorted beats the next. Differences between tracks, not unlike changing channels on TV or switching between net browsers, predominate, imagery conjuring Middle Eastern travel and tourism on one screen plays against grisly proxy war footage on the next. The only threads linking these tracks were made during Jones' grittier production-cum-dub days during the last years of his life.

We start this year with the new author's podcast. Inzhener Zemli - our friend with a higher geographical education. He is so well known to the cultural heritage of different countries and in this new podcast he'll tell about the modern music from the most unusual regions. 

The first program focused on the underground music from the Islamic Republic of Iran - the country with the most ancient musical instruments and traditions, but at the same time with cruel laws and punishments, where the music is basically prohibited.

система | system presents "bluelancholia" ep by Moscow-based trio elektricheskaya sobaka.

Elektricheskaya sobaka is an improvisational trio project by Rustem Imamiev aka XΛN, Kirk Stephane aka Rites of passage and Nicolai Schizoph.
Initiated in 2017, for 3 years the trio became one of the most visible experimental electronic impro band on the Moscow scene, also at that time they founded the online radio Morpheus, which they're curating.
And, yes, their musical spectrum is really wide, from punk, post-punk and post-indie to electro, techno and even post-jazz and doom affiliated, etc.

"bluelancholia" ep consists of 5 tracks, every track of this ep is the cut from the improvisation recording session by Elektricheskaya sobaka.
In the tracks of "bluelancholia" ep I hear something like rolling reminiscent figures, crafted and breathing fantasy.
Improvisation here exists between rhythmical script and hazardous joy, diving into excursions in both groovy and contemplative zones.

Собравшись окончательно в музыкальный проект в 2017 году, и в итоге за три года elektricheskaya sobaka стала одним из самых заметных экспериментальных электронных импровизационных проектов Московской сцены. Также за эти же 3 года артисты инициировали и курируют онлайн радио "Морфей".
И, да, их музыкальный спектр очень широк - от панка, пост-панка и пост-инди до электро, техно, и даже пост-джазза, и пост-дума.
"bluelancholia" ep состоит из 5-ти треков, каждый трек данного релиза является следствием импровизационных сессий от "электрической собаки".
В треках "блюланхолии" я слышу что-то вроде повторящихся, катящихся одна за одной, запоминающихся саунд фигур, созданных и дышащих фантазией. Импровизация здесь существует между ритмическим скриптом и случайной радостью, погружая слушателя в экскурсию, сотканную из грува и созерцательно задумчивых зон, как сон.
